No wax apple available here I shop at Uwajimaya Japanese Market mostly. But I go to this Asian Family Market for just one reason. Apple without wax is available, only Fuji variety however. No wax is the sign of "new crop" and "local produce", most likely.

One of three Asian Family Markets (AFM) in the Pacific NW (two in WA and one in OR), AFM - Bellevue is predominantly a Chinese supermarket but had a surprisingly large selection of other Asian foods (Korean, Filipino, Vietnamese, Thai, and others I didn't notice). It was founded in 2004, with the goal of "best of Asian fresh food and groceries under one roof". Stopped in soon after it opened at 9 am. It is very modern, with aisles that reminded me of an American supermarket chain, and had a large shared parking lot. Like other Asian markets, it had a large seafood section with both frozen fish and live seafood in tanks. Since I had walked, I was limited in what I could bring back, so focused on only finding some things that could be found in Filipino grocery store, namely Sinigang soup powder (and stopping in to the nearby Fred Meyer for the American groceries that I needed). Checkout was easy, with the ability to use credit without a minimum.

One of the few places in Bellevue where you can find cheap produce. They have Asian snacks you can't find at other Asian markets! As well as monthly/weekly deals. Very clean market, with a huge variety of Asian food & staples. Along with some other culture foods. There is a small food court (which seems to be expanding), and a makeup store. As some reviewers mentioned about expiration of the products, please make sure to check before you buy. I've seen it once on a drink, but I'm not too picky on it (it was a few days after). Which is why I -1 star on the review.

Wooow big enough to feel in Asia. They have everything! Even food court outside. There is an Asian pharmacy outside with particular ingredients. You can find cooked pork, plenty of fish and crabs, silkie, hibiscus, and lots of different fruit. They also have a whole isle with teas! Different flavours and styles. I would definitely recommend coming here in case you need any ingredient or if you want to try exotic chips flavours :) or any Asian candy.
